Finsbury Park Mosque has been recognised by Voluntary Action Islington for its commitment and hard work to achieve the VISIBLE standard. The event which took place on 18/6/2014 attended by key officers of Islington council and other community centres in Islington, Community Matters. It was a great occasion to get the recognition we deserve and showcase the work we are doing. Finsbury Park Mosque is one of only three faith organisations and the only Muslim organisation in the UK to achieve that. Councillor Rakhia Ismail, Islington Council’s Executive Member for Community Development, then presented certificates to 10 community centres including the mosque to celebrate their hard work towards the VISIBLE standard.
